Marissa McMullen Bazinet captured this footage of smoke and flames resulting from a flare-up of the Covington Drive wildfire, located between Covington Lake and Walkers Woods, near Indianola and Wyandot.
 

Currently, no homes are at risk, and the smoke is drifting away from the Carolina Forest communities. However, if the wind calms and becomes lighter, smoke may pose a concern in certain areas later tonight or tomorrow morning. We hope the wind remains strong! This situation is not related to any political actions; rather, it is a natural disaster occurring in the United States, and we trust that a higher power will oversee the conditions surrounding these events.
