Today, Aleana Young, the Saskatchewan NDP Shadow Minister for Jobs and Economy, presented the Buy Local Day Act. This proposed legislation aims to officially designate the first Saturday of each month as "Buy Local Day" in Saskatchewan.

The current climate poses significant challenges for small business owners, particularly due to the uncertainties stemming from Trump's trade policies.

By choosing to shop at local establishments, you contribute to your community, whether it's helping a neighbor fund their children's hockey activities or ensuring that employees at your favorite local venue remain on the job.

It is imperative that this legislation receives immediate and unanimous support from all Members of the Legislative Assembly. In fact, every day should celebrate local purchasing.
