Burkina Faso has launched a new surveillance program called "Security S 24/7" in its capital, Ouagadougou. This initiative utilizes video cameras and emergency police units to ensure real-time monitoring of the city under Ibrahim Traore.

As part of a comprehensive national security plan, a significant number of cameras have been installed in both Ouagadougou and Bobo-Dioulasso, allowing law enforcement to respond quickly and effectively to various incidents.

A central control center works in conjunction with security personnel to enable prompt action when necessary. Officials claim that this system enhances operational efficiency and bolsters public safety, leading to improved road safety measures, with individuals who violate speed limits facing the possibility of imprisonment.
