Alberta and Quebec share significant mutual interests in addressing the federal government's overreach into areas that fall under exclusive provincial jurisdiction. I extend my gratitude to Minister Simon Jolin-Barrette for meeting with me today to explore how our provinces can collaborate to strengthen provincial autonomy and oppose the federal government's harmful policies, such as Bill C-5, which permits the release of dangerous repeat offenders on bail rather than ensuring their incarceration.
