Governor-General expressed her excitement at attending the premiere of the 2025

Following her inaugural visit as Patron to The Australian Ballet in Melbourne last week, the Governor-General expressed her excitement at attending the premiere of the 2025 season—a compelling rendition of John Neumeier's 'Nijinsky' at the Sydney Opera House.

Principal Artist Callum Linnane, who is reprising the emotionally and physically demanding role of Vaslav Nijinsky, a role that marked his breakthrough performance nine years ago, is joined by an exceptional ensemble of dancers. This production serves as a powerful reflection of the emerging talent within Australia's creative arts scene.
