Three years prior, he was urgently taken to the Alberta Children's Hospital after experiencing a significant seizure that caused him to stop breathing.

While the medical team focused on stabilizing him, a nurse took a moment to comfort Fox, providing her with fresh scrubs, apple juice, and cookies.

"It was a nurse who took a moment to care for me while everyone else was attending to my son," she recalled.

"Although it was just apple juice and a cookie, it meant a great deal to me."

This gesture provided her with a sense of grounding.

"It's about that connection... During traumatic and challenging times, those connections hold immense significance."

Although the new policy was set to be implemented on Tuesday, its enforcement has now been suspended.
