🔵 ONGOING INVESTIGATION 🔵

Our Traffic Unit is actively investigating a multi-vehicle accident that took place late yesterday on Stoney Trail N.W., which resulted in the tragic death of a 57-year-old woman.

📍 At approximately 11:49 p.m. on Tuesday, April 1, 2025, we responded to a collision in the southbound lanes of Stoney Trail N.W., near the bridge deck of Nose Hill Drive N.W.

At that moment, a white 2019 Toyota Corolla, operated by a woman in her 50s, was traveling southbound in one of the lanes adjacent to the median.

It is believed that the Corolla was struck by an unidentified vehicle, which preliminary evidence suggests may be a semi-truck and trailer combination.

This unidentified vehicle did not remain at the scene.

Shortly thereafter, a roadway maintenance truck with two occupants arrived first and began administering medical assistance to the woman.

A short time later, a black 2018 RAM truck, driven by a 21-year-old man with a 21-year-old passenger, collided with a post and cable barrier in the median, subsequently hitting the woman. The RAM truck then collided with the rear of the roadway maintenance vehicle.

The woman was transported to the hospital but was pronounced dead upon arrival.

The other drivers and passengers involved in the incident did not sustain any injuries.

Currently, there is no evidence to suggest that speed, alcohol, or drugs played a role in this collision.
