Premier Smith Danelle said;
Less than two weeks ago, @MarkJCarney expressed to me directly that C-69 posed a significant obstacle to major national energy initiatives and required attention. However, he has now stated that he has no plans to address it.

It is important to understand that if this legislation remains in place, there will be few, if any, large-scale energy infrastructure projects developed in this country, leaving Alberta and Saskatchewan isolated from international markets.

As a result, Canada will become increasingly vulnerable and overly reliant on the United States.

The people of Alberta will not accept this situation, nor will I. It is my hope that this election leads to the selection of a new Prime Minister who can be relied upon to eliminate these detrimental policies.

A safe and timely commute isn't a luxury- it's essential. That's why I'm incredibly proud our government is making smart, targeted expansions across Alberta, like today's announcement in Brooks, giving Albertans back time for what matters to them.
