Promotion to Turkish Women's League Thrills 'Kaffy' Shittu

Nigerian midfield talent, Kafayat Folakemi Shittu, is filled with joy following her team's promotion to the Turkish Women Super League.

Affectionately known as Kaffy, she plays for Giresun Sanayispor Football Club in Turkey.

Although Giresun Sanayispor lost the final playoff match to Yuksekova by a narrow margin, they achieved their historic first promotion to the Super League despite the setback.

She has consistently delivered exceptional performances throughout the season, making a significant impact on her team.

"I'm delighted to be one of the players who helped secure the team's promotion. This is a historic moment, and I am proud to be part of this achievement," Kaffy expressed to sports journalists in Ilorin, Kwara State.

The former Moje Queens midfielder also praised her teammates and the coaching staff for their role in this remarkable accomplishment.

Giresun Sanayispor concluded the playoff season in second place, trailing behind Yuksekova, who claimed the title of champions in the Turkish Women's Football League Play-off.
