Popular skit creator and activist, Mr. Macaroni, has emphasized that he is not looking for financial aid, despite recently revealing the extent of his staggering N500 million debt.

In an interview with Saturday Beats, the comedian clarified that he shared his situation to offer a learning opportunity for others, not as a plea for help. "I'm not accepting any assistance or donations. I shared my story primarily so that others could learn from my mistakes," he stated. Recently, Mr. Macaroni surprised his fans by disclosing his financial difficulties, which sparked a wave of support from colleagues and followers. In an emotional social media message, he confessed to being weighed down by debts surpassing half a billion naira after being scammed and making poor investment choices between 2021 and 2022. He acknowledged that his own financial carelessness and excessive generosity contributed to his struggles. The burden of debt overwhelmed him, further compounded by betrayal from someone he considered a close friend. Nevertheless, with steadfast determination, he has found the strength to overcome these challenges, supported by his faith and the love of those around him. In response, fellow activists and celebrities extended their encouragement, support, and validation. Social activist Rinu Oduala expressed, "I'm sorry to hear this, and I can vouch for your financial kindness, not recklessness. Even amidst all this, you still share your resources.
