This event serves as a demonstration of the Australian Defence Force's capabilities and strength, fostering significant international defence collaboration, while providing Australians with the chance to witness the remarkable skills, diversity, intelligence, community spirit, and dedication that characterize our ADF.

The Governor-General arrived at the Airshow aboard a C-17 from 36 Squadron and a King Air aircraft from 32 Squadron, showcasing the RAAF's exceptional tactical proficiency, teamwork, and commitment to safety.

Prior to enjoying the impressive Airshow performances, the Governor-General, in her capacity as Commander in Chief, addressed the international audience, highlighting the strengths of our contemporary Air Force, as well as the Army and Navy.

She visited booths for Legacy, Soldier On, RSL, Kookaburra Kids, Women in Defence, First Nations Aviators, and the ADF Sports Branch to express her gratitude for their support of veterans and active service members. Additionally, she toured the E-7 Wedgetail with No. 2 Squadron and met with the RAAF Central Flying School's Roulettes.

The Governor-General also shared morning tea with young ADF personnel in the Deployable Mess and attended the Airshow's opening dinner with Deputy Prime Minister the Honourable Richard Marles MP and 20 international Chiefs of Air Force following their Chief of Air Force Symposium.

Gratitude is extended to all those involved in the Airshow and to the dedicated men and women of the ADF who support each other and our nation.
