In contrast to green or gray hydrogen, white hydrogen occurs naturally and does not necessitate industrial production, making it an economical and environmentally friendly fuel source.

The estimated worth of this deposit is $92 billion, with the potential to supply more than half of the global annual output of gray hydrogen without causing environmental damage. If extraction methods are optimized, this finding could transform global energy policies and lessen reliance on fossil fuels.

France is now positioned to spearhead the hydrogen revolution, fostering job creation and enhancing energy security.

Researchers emphasize the importance of conducting further investigations to fully understand the potential of these hydrogen reserves and to establish safe extraction techniques.
