                    EPISODE 4

"Father, I want to marry the princess of Udama kingdom to make you happy. I will do anything to make you happy because I am the one that truly love you." Prince Ameh blûrted out, not knowing the consèquences that would follow.

"You are just as fóólish as your mother. It's unfórtunate that I didn't know that she would turn out the way she did before I planted my seed in her. You and your sister are the product of my mîstake and I have not been able to forgive myself." King Idu spàt out his vènom at his son who looked on in surprise and ànger.

Prince Ameh was not surprised and àngry because of what his father said to him, he was already used to hearing such hàrsh words from his father. He was just àngry because he had done nothing to warrant such vîle words this time. Written by Safiya T Idris.

"Father, why do you hàte me so much?" Prince Ameh asked in paîn.

"I do not hàte you. I hàte the wèakling you grew up to become." King Idu thûndered.

He was àngry, not because his son volunteered to marry the princess of Udama to make him happy. He was àngry because there was mole in his palace even with all the securities he had put in place.

King Idu only talked to prince Ayegba about king Abalaka's proposal so how did prince Ameh know?

King Idu could swèar that prince Ayegba would never say a word of what happened to anyone, so he knew instantly that a betràyer was in his palace and the person would pay with his or her life.

"Stay away from my business because you are not man enóugh to handle it for me. Now leave my presence and go get me the person you got this information from or be prepared to face my wràth!" King Idu said cóldly.

That was when prince Ameh realized that he had made a mîstake. He didn't think that his father would ask him where he got the information from.

He only told his mother that he would think about it before going straight to his father because he was eager to please him. Now he had gotten himself and his mother into dèep mèss.

Who does things without thinking it through, maybe he was indeed fóólish like his father said.

Prince Ameh quietly walked out of the throne room, thinking of what to do. As usual, he blàmed prince Ayegba for his mîsfórtune.

He was still thinking of what to do when he saw the one he hàted most in life walking towards the throne room.

Prince Ayegba was going to see his father after a guard delivered his message to him, but the next thing he saw was his brother raising his swórd in the air and the next place he would have seen the swórd was on his neck if he hadn't held his brother's hand on time.

Prince Ayegba was always prepared to fîght, so it was even dîfficult for enèmies to attàck him from behind not to speak of someone attàckîng him right in front of him.

Prince Ameh knew how powerful his brother was yet he decided to try and he paid dearly for it because prince Ayegba didn't let his hand go until he had bróken it.

There was no forgiveness in prince Ayegba's heart so he didn't waste time or think twice before breàking his brother's hand, not just one but the two.

He did all this in just a minute and prince Ameh could only shóut in paîn.

The guards and maîds around could only watch because none of them wanted to be kîlled by prince Ayegba in a fît of ràge.

"Ayegba, let him go...he is still your brother." King Idu who a guard had alerted about the happenings outside said when prince Ayegba was just about to brèàk his brother's neck.

The only person that prince Ayegba listened to was his father so he pûshèd his brother away angrîly and stormed off without saying a word.

King Idu didn't ask questions, he just knew that Ameh must have trîggèred the beàst in Ayegba and he got what he deserved.

"Just look at yourself. I am ashàmed that you are my son." King Idu said to prince Ameh who was gróaning in paîn.
.

"My queen...my queen! Prince Ayegba is about to kîll your son." A guard who was queen Igoma's spy said to her in her chamber.

He had ran from his duty post to the queen's chamber when he saw what was happening.

"What? How? Where? What happened?" The queen asked in fèar as she ran out of her chamber after the guard told her where they were.

Queen Igoma never left her chamber without her crown but that day, she didn't even remember her crown.

Her son was more important, he was her most precious crown. She knew that her son would never survive a fîght with Ayegba.

As queen Igoma ran towards the throne room, the guard who was her spy ran behind her too. If only the guard knew that that would be his làst day on earth.

King Idu wasn't only wîcked, he was very wise too, that was why he asked the other guards to arrèst the guard who was behind his wife as they ran to the scene where prince Ameh was almost kîlled by prince Ayegba.

King Idu knew instantly that the guard was the móle in his palace as he had no business with the queen.

The guard was not among the guards assigned to the queen but it was obvious that he left his duty post to go call the queen.

The guard confèssed after so much tórtûre and a guard was ordered to beheàd him without mercy.

"Igoma, the next time you send someone to spy on me, you will sûffer the same fate." King Idu thrèatened his wife that day and his wife knew that it was not an empty thrèat.

How his love for her grew so cold was what she couldn't understand. This was someone that did the unthînkable to be with her in the past.

How did he change so much? The queen had to share him with so many cóncubines and as if that was not enough, he just thrèatèned to kîll her.

Queen Igoma forgot that kàrma truly exist and everyone will pay for their sîns one day. She forgot that she was wearing someone else's crown.
.

"My son, when I said you should get married to Abalaka's daughter, I didn't mean that you will have anything to do with her after the marriage." King Idu said to prince Ayegba. This time, the king went to his son's chamber late at night. Written by Safiya T Idris

He was determined to convince his son that night and he would not leave until he had done that.
.
Udama kingdom...

"Guards! Seîze her! Lóck her up in her chamber until the wedding day!" King Abalaka ordered his guards. He had just gotten a good news from the king of Ajala, but his daughter refused to cooperate with him, so he had to do it the hàrd way.
