Opera Australia's presentation of the collaboration between Opera Queensland and Circa showcases Purcell's Dido & Aeneas, uniting artists, diverse art forms, and various companies to deliver an innovative and captivating performance that highlights the excellence of Australia's vibrant cultural landscape.

Among the esteemed guests at the opening night held at the Sydney Opera House were the Chair of Opera Australia, Rodd Sims AO, Acting CEO Simon Militano, and Chair of Circa, Ann Sherry AO. They were joined by the Governor-General and Mr. Simeon Beckett SC, all of whom were delighted to witness the extraordinary talents of Circa, Australia's leading contemporary circus company, alongside a remarkable ensemble of emerging Australian opera stars, featuring Anna Dowsley and Nicholas Jones.

Kudos to Director Yaron Lifschitz, Circa, Opera Queensland, Opera Australia, Pinchgut Opera, and the entire cast and crew for an enchanting, impeccable, and awe-inspiring opening night.
