Producers and researchers are working smarter, not harder, according to our scientist, Dr. Keshav Singh. In his research, Dr. Singh and his colleagues are leading the way in combining remote sensing technology with sophisticated digital phenomics—the study of observable traits in living things.

Their goal is to maximize sustainable crop management and speed up breeding for Prairie field crops. 🌾 Farmers today maximize their productivity and efficiency by using digital tools to make data-driven decisions. However, these technologies are also altering how scientists perform agricultural research, in addition to altering the farm itself. "Crowd breeding and agronomy are becoming more accurate, efficient, and resilient thanks to advanced technologies like remote sensing and phenomics tools," Dr. Singh adds. For instance, data processing technologies, satellites, drones, and unmanned ground robotics are a few of the advancements in agricultural research's digital transition.

But it's not all about playing with drones—well, that's part of it, too. Scientists can collect more data faster and more precisely thanks to these tools. Since scientific research relies on data analysis, more data input and a higher processing speed translate into more information and more precise decision-making. 🎯 Find out more about the work being done by Dr. Singh and his team here: https://ow.ly/M5kC50V4mIS
