It is a Portuguese ship that  left Lisbon in 1533.  Its fate  remained unknown for  centuries, until  its remains were discovered in the  Namibian desert during  nearby diamond mining  operations. Bom Jesus  was an interesting and very valuable  discovery: on board were found  several Spanish and Portuguese gold coins (which  allowed the identification of the ship), about two thousand German copper bulls and more than 100  herds of elephants from  the Kingdom  of Benin. , now Nigeria. The total value of all assets is estimated by experts at  13 million dollars. The discovery of a ship that  disappeared five hundred years ago, found in the African desert with gold coins on board, has become one of the most exciting archaeological  discoveries of recent  years.
