Urban cleanliness and upkeep are vital in urban areas. At Calgary, Alberta's Whithorn train station, cleaning personnel begin cleaning trains at 5:50 a.m. on Fridays. This includes a maintenance and storage facility as well as a railcar repair network. 

Green Line LRT facility for maintenance and storage This facility features servicing lanes for cleaning the inside of trains and a train wash for washing the outside. It also features component repair shops and a body shop for fixing external damage.
