Russian Embassy in Canada  Helped Kill Nijjar  with Intelligence  Provided to RAW
TORONTO, ON (December 18,  2024) - Sikhs For Justice (SFJ), a secessionist advocacy group, has issued explosive allegations against Russia,  saying the Kremlin played a direct role in the assassination of pro-Khalistan leader Shaheed Hardeep Singh  Nijjar.
According to SFJ, the Russian Embassy in Canada shared critical  "signals intelligence" with India's Research and Analysis Wing (RAW), enabling  the targeted  killing of Nijjar. The advocacy group  denounces what it calls a dangerous  "Russia-India terrorist nexus" aimed at silencing pro-Khalistan Sikhs in North  America.
Allegations of Espionage and Cyber  Intrusion
According to SFJ, the Russian Embassy in Ottawa hacked Nijjar's Telegram account in May 2023, sharing  information with RAW that  allegedly led to Nijjar's assassination on June 18, 2023,  in front of the Guru Nanak Sikh Gurdwara in Surrey,  ON.
Prior to his assassination, Nijjar had raised concerns with Canadian authorities, including the RCMP and CSIS, about  security and surveillance activities targeting him.  In meetings with these agencies, Nijjar  revealed that his Telegram account had been hacked, a  statement that  underscored the potential  for foreign interference in monitoring his movements.  In addition, Canadian authorities advised Nijjar to inspect his vehicle for tracking devices,  which he  followed and  later discovered a GPS tracker installed  in his  truck.
The group  also claims that Russian intelligence also hacked Pannun's Telegram account,  giving his location to RAW  agents as part of a murder-for-hire plot. Additionally, a December 2024 report by  American cybersecurity firm iVerify revealed that Pannun's smartphone had been targeted  with sophisticated spyware designed to track his location and daily  movements.

Claims and  Calls to  Action
The SFJ says that the Indian  ambassador to the United States, Vinay Mohan Kwatra, and  the Russian  ambassador to Canada, Oleg Stepanov, are  working together with surveillance and  espionage networks to monitor and suppress pro-Khalistan campaigns in North America. The group is offering a $25,000 reward for information  on the public engagements of these  ambassadors.
"Pro-Khalistan Sikhs hold  the Indian and Russian ambassadors accountable for their roles in violent attacks on Sikh activists in Canada and the  United States," Pannun said.
