For newcomers like Sarah and her family, the job market in Calgary has been a rude awakening. Originally from Ontario, they relocated to Calgary six months ago, hoping to find better job opportunities. However, their experience has been far from smooth.

"We thought Calgary would be a great place to start fresh," Sarah said. "But it's been really tough. My husband has been applying to every cleaning job he can find, but no one seems to be hiring."

Sarah's husband, John, has been searching for a cleaning job for months, but has had no luck. Despite having experience in the field, he has been rejected by numerous employers, citing a lack of available positions.
