Light snow  has fallen in parts of Calgary, with light  snow expected through Sunday. Crews are currently focused on priority  roads as the snow falls, and Calgarians  are reminded to be  aware of winter conditions  when traveling today.
Before and during  the snowfall, our crews  are working every day, preparing equipment and materials,  clearing snow from roads, applying  deicing agents to  potentially problematic areas, such as bridge  decks, and focusing on  keeping Calgary's busiest  road conditions in line with the city's priority snow  removal plan.

The city is responding to snowfall by plowing and  spreading material on the  busiest roads first to  allow Calgarians  to travel safely: these  roads include Calgary's busiest roads, including Crowchild Trail, Glenmore  Trail and Memorial Drive.

How can you stay safe during  a snowfall in  Calgary? Drivers are reminded to monitor changing weather  conditions: snowy roads,  ice, and visibility can be a factor in your  trip. Be prepared before you  leave, allow plenty of time to get to  your destination, and adjust to  changing weather conditions. Stay safe!
Pedestrians and  wheelchair users are encouraged to plan ahead. Know your route and expect unexpected delays. Snowfall can create other  problems during your  trip. So make sure you are properly dressed before  you begin your  trip. Whatever your mode of travel, prepare for  your trip: plan your  itinerary, allow enough travel  time, and  make sure you are  well-equipped for winter  conditions (pack and wear good  shoes).
We recommend planning ahead before  you head out.
