At the recent D23 Expo, Disney officially unveiled the title for the third installment of the *Avatar* franchise: *Avatar: Fire and Ash*. Directed by James Cameron, the film is set to explore new and darker regions of Pandora. The plot will introduce a new Na'vi clan known as the "Ash People," who are expected to bring significant conflict to the story. Oona Chaplin has been cast as Varang, the leader of this fiery clan, a character described as someone audiences will "love to hate."

The movie promises higher emotional stakes than its predecessors and will delve into more challenging territory for the characters. Although no footage was shown at the event, Cameron did share concept art that teases visually stunning scenes, including Neytiri riding a banshee over flames. *Avatar: Fire and Ash* is slated for release on December 19, 2025.

In addition to *Avatar 3*, Disney also announced several other upcoming films, including a new Pixar movie titled *Hoppers* and *Toy Story 5*, both set for release in 2026.
