The Sydney Royal Easter Show is a celebration of Australian agriculture, food, entertainment and culture. Attracting more than 850,000 visitors annually, steeped with rich rural traditions, the show offers a unique opportunity to experience the richness and vibrancy of Australian life.

Hosted by the President of the Royal Agricultural Society (RAS), John Bennett OAM, the Governor-General was delighted to meet a wonderful range of participants, exhibitors, staff, stall holders, students and community members across a day's walking tour at the show.

The RAS is a not-for-profit organisation committed to supporting rural agricultural communities, and to drive the development of agricultural business and technology alike, to ensure prosperity and sustainability for generations to come. Show revenue allows RAS to invest in agricultural programs, competitions, education, youth and rural NSW.

The Governor-General saw the Districts Exhibits (celebrating 125 years), The Flower and Garden Pavilion, The Rural Students Cafe (with profits shared amongst the participating schools), Arts and Crafts. She visited the NSW Police and Rural Achievers, celebrating 200 years of the NSW Mounted Police Unit, 100 years of Police Highway Patrol and 50years of Police Motorbikes. She also engaged with the 2025 Rural Achiever Finalists.

The Governor-General presented a sash to a winning schnauzer, and a Clydesdale, viewing Miniature Pony judging, the Wool Classing competition, and the Women's World Championships 325mm Singlehanded Sawing Contest, as well as speaking with the ABC Country Hour, and enjoying lunch with RAS President, Chief Executive and Councillors.
