The rising costs of crime and disorder are unsustainable; Albertans cannot bear the consequences of such disrespectful actions and behaviors.

In northeast Calgary, a school was placed on lockdown following police investigations into a hit-and-run incident that occurred in Forest Lawn on Monday morning.

The event took place at 8:10 a.m., with the vehicle being reported for reckless driving throughout southeast Calgary, including school zones and residential neighborhoods, over the following hours.

Law enforcement successfully contained the vehicle at 12 p.m. in the vicinity of the 300 block of 36th Street N.E.

Fortunately, no injuries were reported, and three individuals from the vehicle were taken into custody at the scene, prompting the lockdown of the nearby school.

Authorities have indicated that charges are forthcoming, and the investigation remains active.
