Calgary police are looking into a shooting that occurred in the northwest on Wednesday morning.


According to investigators, a woman sustained non-life-threatening injuries from a gunshot to her lower body.

The incident took place on Memorial Drive NW.

Authorities report that responding officers located and apprehended two men suspected of being involved shortly thereafter.

Currently, investigators consider the shooting to be a targeted act.

Police are anticipated to remain at the scene for several hours to conduct their investigation.
