It was a pleasure to discuss border security in Coutts with Minister Mike Ellis, MLAs Grant Hunter and Justin Wright, Mayor Scott MacCumber, and Reeve Randy Taylor. One of the most significant points of entry in western Canada is Coutts. A secure border is essential to the health of our economy and the safety of our communities. To keep an eye on and combat illicit activity at the border, we have spent $29 million to establish additional Interdiction Patrol Teams. We are providing the genuine solutions that Albertans have come to expect. We appreciate everyone who came out to voice their opinions; we are paying attention.
