TikTok's U.S. unit   may want to  fetch $40–$50 billion if ByteDance   comes to a decision  to sell,   in line with  CFRA Research.

The Chinese   authorities  is reportedly   thinking about  scenarios,   which include  Elon   obtaining  TikTok,   because the  app faces a   capability  U.S. ban tied to   countrywide  safety  concerns.

TikTok boasts 115M U.S. users, trailing Instagram   however  beforehand  of Snapchat and Pinterest.

Analysts warn a sale   may  exclude its   advice  algorithm, a key U.S. regulatory concern.

A rival bid from Frank McCourt and Kevin O'Leary stands at $20B,   bringing up  fewer regulatory hurdles.
