Legitimate questions about the trade deficit with  Canada, Mr. Donald  Trump. The reason is  that Canada (especially Alberta) sends billions of  dollars in raw materials (oil, gas, minerals,  grains, livestock,  lumber, etc.) to your  American refineries and factories  that your  large corporations and American workers  value and sell  to the world, including  Canada. (We are your  largest customer).
Millions of  high-paying American jobs and  businesses depend on these raw materials  accessible from Canada to  generate trillions of dollars of wealth in your  country.
As the Conservative Prime Minister of Canada, I believe  that we have  two of the greatest countries on  the planet. We have fought and bled together in many  wars and built an  extraordinary alliance and partnership. I  truly hope  that we can strengthen  this partnership throughout your  presidency by securing our shared border as  you have called for and partnering to protect our North American workers from  China's unfair trade practices. Americans and Canadians will benefit  enormously.
We, from the province of Alberta (which  ships 4.3 million barrels of oil and gas to your country  every day), are ready to work with you.
I look forward to attending your inauguration in Washington  next January!
