Pretty Nose, an Arapaho chief, Gouyen, an Apache, and Buffalo Calf Road Women, a Cheyenne, were three fascinating female warriors. Buffalo Calf Road Woman was a Cheyenne warrior who served as a leader in numerous wars. Additionally, she participated in the Battle of the Little Big Horn. According to Cheyenne Elders, she charged Custer, seized his sabre, and stabbed him, killing him by knocking him from his horse. At Little Big Horn that day, Buffalo Calf Road Woman wasn't the only female warrior. Pretty Nose, the Arapaho Chief, also battled there.
