🔵 West Calgary greenspace homeowners are alerted of break-ins.

In the past week, investigators have discovered eight residential break-ins that seem to be targeting residences in southwest and northwest Calgary that back onto parks, ravines, green spaces, and golf courses.

According to investigators, the properties are being targeted over the weekend or later in the week in the evening. The residences are vacant, and entry is typically obtained by breaking through the back windows or doors. High-value things including jewellery, watches, handbags, sunglasses, and cash are stolen once they're inside.

We wanted to notify residents and share advice on prevention while the investigation into these crimes is still active and authorities are trying to identify and locate culprits.
