Today in Abuja, we held a protest against the regime of Asiwaju Bola Ahmed Tinubu, specifically addressing the oppressive and disgraceful Cybercrime Act, when we were unjustly confronted by the Nigeria Police Force.

The price of Dudu Osun has surged from N200 to N1,000, sugar has increased from N120 to N1,300, and a 75cl bottle of honey that previously cost N1,500 is now priced at N7,000. It is unreasonable to expect people not to protest under these circumstances. The struggles faced by citizens in this country are dire.

The unfortunate truth is that even locally produced goods in Nigeria have become unaffordable. Without at least N500 to N1,000, one cannot purchase basic fruits such as mangoes, watermelons, oranges, or bananas. While some may feign indifference, their impoverished family members are severely impacted. We cannot permit a select few to monopolize the nation's wealth alongside their associates under the guise of political patronage.

The situation in Nigeria is dire, with the country deteriorating daily. It does not belong solely to politicians and their unpatriotic allies. No politician has demonstrated genuine concern for the nation. Conditions are worsening with each passing day. The Nigerian Senate has neglected the populace, siding with the executive branch instead. Those we elected to represent us have betrayed our trust. The judiciary has become a marketplace for corruption, leaving the masses isolated.

What we require is effective governance, or Tinubu must step down. However, perhaps we should wait until December to witness any potential change.
