Melissa Fleming: The young individuals are the leader of tomorrow

Currently, there are more young individuals on Earth than at any previous time in history. It is not an overstatement to assert that our aspirations for a better future depend on them.

The United Nations commends this generation for advocating for a more just, equitable, peaceful, and sustainable world, as well as for pursuing innovative solutions to the pressing issues facing our planet.

It has been genuinely uplifting to witness over 3,000 students from across the globe convening at UN Headquarters in New York for Model UN #CWMUN, providing a valuable opportunity for young people to deepen their understanding of the UN's principles and operations.

I conveyed to them, and to all youth worldwide: your voice is crucial—now more than ever.
