The Federal Government has approved four air carriers to transport Nigerian pilgrims to Saudi Arabia for the 2025 Hajj exercise. The approved carriers are Med-View Airline, Max Air, Azman Air, and Air Peace.

According to the National Hajj Commission of Nigeria (NAHCON), the approval was granted after a thorough screening and evaluation process. The commission stated that the selected carriers met the required standards and specifications for the transportation of pilgrims.

NAHCON Chairman, Zikrullah Hassan, explained that the commission considered several factors before approving the carriers, including their safety records, fleet capacity, and experience in handling Hajj operations.

The 2025 Hajj exercise is expected to commence in June, and the approved carriers will be responsible for transporting over 95,000 Nigerian pilgrims to Saudi Arabia. The carriers will operate from various airports across the country, including Lagos, Kano, Abuja, and Port Harcourt.

To ensure a smooth and successful Hajj operation, NAHCON has directed the approved carriers to commence preparations immediately. The commission has also warned the carriers against any acts that may compromise the safety and comfort of the pilgrims.

The approval of the four air carriers is a significant milestone in the preparations for the 2025 Hajj exercise. NAHCON has assured that it will continue to work closely with the approved carriers to ensure that Nigerian pilgrims have a safe and successful Hajj experience.

In addition to the approval of the air carriers, NAHCON has also announced that it will be introducing a new online registration platform for pilgrims. The platform, which is expected to be launched soon, will enable pilgrims to register and pay for their Hajj packages online.

The introduction of the online registration platform is part of NAHCON's efforts to improve the Hajj registration process and reduce the risk of fraud and other irregularities. The platform will also enable NAHCON to better manage the Hajj registration process and provide pilgrims with accurate and timely information.

As the 2025 Hajj exercise approaches, NAHCON is urging pilgrims to be patient and cooperate with the commission and the approved air carriers. The commission has assured that it will do everything possible to ensure that Nigerian pilgrims have a safe and successful Hajj experience.

The approval of the four air carriers and the introduction of the online registration platform are significant developments in the preparations for the 2025 Hajj exercise. NAHCON's efforts to improve the Hajj registration process and ensure the safety and comfort of pilgrims are commendable, and Nigerian pilgrims can look forward to a successful and memorable Hajj experience.
