Calgary Transit fares  to change for  2025

Starting in January 2025, Calgary Transit fares  will change.
In November,  city council voted  to increase Calgary  Transit fares to ensure revenues keep pace with operating costs and  the city's growth.  Starting January 1, 2025, most customers will pay about 10 cents more per  trip.
The fare increases are necessary to cover  increased costs and to  fulfill our  commitment to our customers to provide  a safe, reliable, helpful, informative,  easy-to-use and clean service. We know that increases  will affect our  customers, so we  do our best to implement small changes each year.  Calgary Transit's operating costs are covered  by fares, advertising and parking revenues, and property taxes. The City of Calgary is committed to keeping transit fares  and charges as low as possible while  continuing to provide this important service.
