For the third consecutive week, Pope Francis has been unable to deliver his traditional Angelus prayer in person at St. Peter's Square. Instead, the Vatican has been publishing his written comments, which he has been sending from his hospital room in Rome. In his latest message, the Pope thanked people for their prayers and expressed gratitude to his medical team for their care. He also shared his thoughts on the "blessing" hidden within frailty and the importance of trusting in the Lord during difficult times.

The Pope's absence has been felt deeply by Catholics around the world, who have been praying for his recovery. The Vatican has provided updates on his condition, stating that he is resting after a peaceful night and continuing his therapy. Despite his health struggles, Pope Francis remains alert and has been able to receive visitors, including Vatican Secretary of State Cardinal Parolin and his deputy, Monsignor Pena Parra.

In his Sunday Angelus, the Pope also prayed for peace in conflict-ridden regions such as Ukraine, Palestine, and Israel. He emphasized the absurdity of war and the need for unity and compassion during these challenging times. Visitors to the Vatican usually gather on St. Peter's Square to see the Pope appear at a window high up in the Apostolic Palace, but Francis has chosen to live in the simpler setting of the Vatican's Santa Marta guest house.
