Health / National AIDS Control Agency ...
Last post by bosmftha - Today at 09:11 AMAs the festive season approaches, the Federal Government, through the National AIDS Control Agency (NACA), has called on Nigerians to prioritize their health by knowing their HIV status and practicing safe behaviors during the holidays.
In a statement signed by the Head of Public Relations and Protocols of NACA, Toyin Aderibigbe on Sunday, the Director-General of NACA, Dr. Temitope Ilori, stressed the importance of making informed and responsible decisions during this period of intense social activity. Dr. Ilori stressed the importance of safe practices, especially during increased social interactions. "Use protection during sexual activity and, for those who choose abstinence, continue to consider it the safest option." "Ignorance is no longer an excuse, as HIV testing and education are now widely available," he said. NACA reiterated its commitment to reducing the spread of HIV and making Nigeria an AIDS-free country. "This holiday season, give yourself the gift of health by visiting your nearest health facility or community testing center to find out your HIV status. Let us work together for a healthier and happier Nigeria," concluded Dr. Ilori.

Last post by bosmftha - Today at 07:48 AMCanada's federal debt has risen irresponsibly to $1.24 trillion during this Liberal government. There are actual repercussions from this inflationary expenditure. There are already over 1400 homeless encampments in Ontario, and Canadians are waiting in record numbers at the foodbank to feed their families. Future generations will have to cope with this PM's careless handling of our economy in the meanwhile.

Food / Recalled oysters from British ...
Last post by bosmftha - Today at 07:21 AMThe Canadian Food Inspection Agency has issued a recall due to possible norovirus contamination of some oysters distributed in British Columbia, Alberta and Ontario
The agency says the recall affects certain Fanny Bay, Sunseeker and Cloudy Bay oysters from the Taylor Shellfish Canada brand.
The memo notes that most of the affected oysters were harvested and processed in early December, although some may have been harvested as early as November 27.
The agency says consumers who purchased oysters should throw them out or return them to the point of purchase, and those with symptoms should seek medical attention. Symptoms of norovirus, which can appear 12 hours after exposure, include vomiting, diarrhea, nausea and stomach cramps.
The agency says that while most people who contract the virus recover within a few days, some severe cases may require hospitalization and intravenous injections.

Canada, wake up! According to public opinion polls, this individual consistently leads by 20 to 25 points. We must prevent PP from gaining a landslide majority and changing Canada in ways that will be difficult to undo. #cdnpoli #cdnmedia
