As the gates of the Sydney Showground opened this morning, the Sydney Royal Easter Show returns for another year, upholding the beloved tradition of 'bringing the country to the city,' a practice that has been ongoing for over 200 years.
In anticipation of this year's event, the Governor, serving as Patron of the Royal Agricultural Society of NSW, along with Mr. Wilson, Patron of the RAS Foundation, hosted a morning tea yesterday to express gratitude to the many individuals—volunteers, exhibitors, Stewards, Councillors, and Judges—who contribute to the Show's success year after year.
This gathering also provided a platform to award the finalists of The Land Sydney Royal AgShows NSW Young Women and RAS Rural Achiever programs for 2025 with their badges and Akubras, acknowledging their dedication to enhancing agricultural and community welfare. These representatives, hailing from various regions across our State, embody the strength, vibrancy, and innovation of NSW's primary industries and our regional and rural communities as they step into their roles as future leaders.
