Alberta's Jeff Rath:
On the first day of Alberta's independence, fuel prices plummet to 80 cents per liter from $1.60. For professionals such as teachers, nurses, or firefighters earning $100,000, federal taxes disappear, resulting in take-home pay increasing to between $80,000 and $90,000, rather than just $50,000. Currently, nearly 40% of Albertans support this movement, and their enthusiasm is still growing. Achieving independence positions Alberta as the wealthiest region per capita globally, as Canada is perceived to be hindering our progress rather than facilitating it.
