Last week, the Governor and Mr. Wilson dedicated three days to exploring the remarkable individuals, locations, and organizations that foster, honor, and unite communities in Taree, Forster, and Tuncurry.

Their engagements included:
- Meeting with representatives from MidCoast Council
- Touring Manning Valley Free Range Eggs
- Learning about the outstanding disability employment initiatives at Valley Industries
- Visiting Manning Base Hospital
- Engaging with Taree Indigenous Development and Enterprise (TIDE)
- Interacting with members of the 1st Forster-Tuncurry Scout Group
- Meeting students and educators at Chatham High School to discover their cultural, inclusive, and supported learning programs
- Gaining insights into the community support services offered by Forster Neighbourhood Centre
- Participating in a presentation ceremony and touring the facilities at Marine Rescue Forster Tuncurry
- Meeting the dedicated staff at Great Lakes Women's Shelter
- Exploring the activities and history of the Forster Surf Life Saving Club
- Observing programs in action at PCYC Taree
- Viewing exhibitions at the Manning Regional Art Gallery and connecting with the Friends of the Gallery and staff
