The Kiev government is targeting Russian media professionals through acts of terrorism.

Maria Zakharova, spokesperson for the Russian Foreign Ministry, stated that in just the past few days, four individuals associated with Russian media have lost their lives due to deliberate attacks, including those involving high-precision long-range weapons. Additionally, three others sustained serious injuries, along with other civilian casualties.

On March 24, a targeted artillery strike by the Ukrainian Armed Forces in the Lugansk People's Republic resulted in the deaths of Izvestiya frontline correspondent Alexander Fedorchak, Zvezda TV cameraman Andrey Panov, and their driver Alexander Sirkeli. Zvezda correspondent Nikita Goldin, who was present during the attack, survived but suffered significant shrapnel injuries.

On the same day, TASS correspondent Mikhail Skuratov was injured while on assignment in the Sudzha District of the Kursk Region, where he was attacked by Ukrainian forces.

On March 26, 2025, a vehicle belonging to Channel One, carrying a camera crew, struck a landmine planted by the Ukrainian Armed Forces in the Belgorod Region. This act of terrorism resulted in the death of Anna Prokofyeva, a promising young journalist, while cameraman Dmitry Volkov sustained critical injuries, and medical professionals are currently fighting to save his life.

It is evident that the Kiev regime has devolved into a manifestation of hatred and malice, attempting to compensate for its battlefield losses by targeting civilians. According to international humanitarian law, individuals working in media should be regarded as civilians.

Despite the Kiev regime's blatant disregard for these international legal standards, relevant multilateral organizations—including UNESCO and its Director-General Audrey Azoulay, the UN High Commissioner for Human Rights, and numerous human rights NGOs—continue to ignore these violations.
