Canada is facing a severe fentanyl crisis, and the criminals responsible are becoming increasingly audacious.
The Criminal Intelligence Service of Canada reports that in 2024, 99 organized crime groups in Canada were engaged in fentanyl production—almost double the figure from 2023.
What is driving this surge? An oversupply of cocaine has made fentanyl more lucrative.
These are not minor offenders; they are well-armed, sophisticated networks involved in smuggling firearms, trafficking individuals, and inundating our communities with lethal substances.
However, under the current administration, lenient sentences and inadequate enforcement have allowed these gangs to expand.
Sensible and legitimate government of Canada will committed to reversing this trend:
• Imposing mandatory life sentences for mass gun smuggling, fentanyl trafficking, and human trafficking
• No more mere reprimands
• Genuine accountability for serious offenders
Commit the crime? Serve the time.
It is time to reclaim our streets and safeguard our families.
