Premier Doug Ford, who was recently re-elected, intensified his threat on Monday to cut off electricity flowing from Ontario to a number of U.S. states.

He made these remarks on the eve of U.S. President Donald Trump's 25% tariffs on Canadian goods and 10% on energy. Ford also stated that his government is ready to implement a sUrcharge on every megawatt that states purchase from Ontario and "rip up" a $100-million deal with Elon Musk's Starlink internet company. The LCB0 has already been ordered to remove all American alcohol from its shelves if Trump follows through on his threats.

The U.S. imports about 33 terawatt hours
of electricity from Canada annually, with all
American grids except Texas connected to
