Kunle Nafiu is appointed NYSC DG by Tinubu.

Brigadier General Kunle Nafiu has been named the new Director-General of the National Youth Service Corps (NYSC) by President Bola Ahmed Tinubu. Before being appointed, Bri. Gen. Nafiu was the Chief of Staff to Lt. Gen. Olufemi Oluyede, the Chief of Army Staff. He had previously held the same position with the late Lt. Gen. Raised Abiodun Lagbaja, the Chief of Army Staff. Nafiu, an artillery officer and member of 47 Regular Course, is a graduate of the US Army War College and the Armed Forces Command and Staff College. He served as a Directing Staff member at the Army War College in Nigeria prior to being named Chief of Staff to the COAS. The new NYSC DG is from Aiyedire Local, Ileogbo Osun State Local Government Area. Brigadier General Yushau Ahmed has been replaced by Nafiu, whose appointment takes effect immediately.
