A car that climbed a pavement and collided with a pedestrian zone in Glasgow's west end has struck two persons. Police blocked off the area for several hours before reopening it at around 15:00 after emergency services were called to Byres Road at Vinicombe Street at around 11.30. Near the Hillhead Bookclub bar, a Christmas tree-side dining area was severely destroyed. There were no wounds that needed medical attention.
